seabird chronicles

Life in Miami,
art/design/craft,
three boys under four(!),
SugarChills,
food, homeschooling...
perhaps a smattering of securities trading.
Since 2005.

My name is Laura.

This site chronicles my life and interests,

which at the moment include

parenting twin preschool boys,

and a newborn,

art/design/craft, food,

homeschooling, life in Miami,

and perhaps a smattering of securities trading.

But interestingly, SeaBird Chronicles is the first

site you'll see when you Google

"snorting hydrogen peroxide."

  I’m 35,

Married to Jonathan since 2000,

with fraternal twin boys Benjamin and Jonah

born at 34 weeks in January of 2006.

They both had GERD for a year.

We survived.

 Could you survive?

Take my short yet surprisingly accurate quiz to find out now!

And our third son, Silas,

born at 36 weeks in July o f2009,

has GERD as well - woo hoo!

 Thank you, God, for Prevacid!

I’m currently living in Miami, Florida,

by way of Texas, Virginia, North Carolina,

Germany, and Argentina.

My previous jobs (in chronological order) include:

frame shop assistant,

veterinarian intern,

White House intern,

writer/editor of software training guides,

software product/acquisitions manager,

bookkeeper,

summer camp director,

zine editor,

and natural body care producer!

The bookkeeper one is ironic since I failed accounting the first time I took it in college.

The words “debit” and “credit” still send shivers down my spine.

I didn’t mention this in my interview.

Currently I’m a Wife and Mom.

My dove, Wooda, lived with me for nearly 19 years until she died in 2006.

I smuggled her on the plane to come to my wedding.

At this exact moment I am in Uruguay

drinking Turkish coffee

made by Jonathan’s uncle Jorge.

It is delicious.

I use SquareSpace software to manage SeaBird Chronicles.

Nettica provides the hosting.

I highly recommend both.
